At furbish, we have a particular approach to what we believe a life well lived is. In fact we like to go against the grain. We love enterprise, taking risks, having an independent spirit that is always searching for fresh insights, opportunities, possibility, and new ways of looking at things. We believe in the heart of the artist, who lives for expression, and brings a level of awareness and celebration to detail. We are urban people because we thrive on the energy generated by being in centers of art and enterprise. We love children because they are the masters of imagination and self-expression. We are addicted to personal technology because of the power it gives us to project our self-expression to places beyond. To us self-expression is just plain fun!
The furbish lifestyle celebrates the basics. Give us the chance to express ourselves through food, clothing, shelter, and we are in heaven! We are closet gourmets, and find nothing in the world more pleasing than a truly delicious dinner in a beautiful and interesting place, with family and friends. Speaking of the basics, we are taken by nature. We feel nature is a sign that life was meant to be beautiful.
The furbish lifestyle is fundamentally about the creation of beauty. Not beauty as perfection, but beauty as a possibility that simply needs to be uncovered or discovered. We are offering our eye, our approach, our awareness to bring charm, or elegance, or allure to environments, but most importantly comfort and enjoyment. Nothing is more beautiful than kindness and so we seek to respect all people and our environment.
We crave worldliness. We like to think of life as a series of experiences that raises our level of thoughtfulness and awareness and knowledge. Travel is a necessity. It doesn’t have to be far and wide. Whether locally or further afield, the furbish lifestyle is about taking insight from so many different places and bringing it together into something interesting and informed. We, of course, love to have concrete souvenirs to incorporate into our environments.
Aesthetically speaking, the furbish lifestyle is both eclectic and classic. Certain things look good, feel comfortable, and function well. That is why they are classic.
